What more would I like to learn?

Oh! Amazingly, it is last assignment of this blog! How fast a term is!!
Today’s topic is “What more would I like to learn?’ In this class, I learned many unknown things from my professor Mr. Poza! These are basic information about Windows, PowerPoint, Hardware, Word, and HTML. Most interesting lecture was the difference between Windows and Mac; what was more, most of us maybe changed mind Windows to Mac! We love Mac specialist Mr. Poza!!!

By the way, I have three things what I would like to learn more. First is Excel because I expect I can learn in this class, but we have not much time to do so. Therefore, I will study myself about Excel and manipulate any feature of Microsoft. Secondly, I want to protect my computer correctly, so I want to get knowledge of protection of computer; for example, I want to protect from virus, shock, or any obstacle. Finally, I want to learn how to use Apple computer from Mr. Poza! It is because; I have curiosity to change my computer Windows to Mac. However, I scarcely know how to use Mac, and I have no confidence to manipulate it.

In conclusion, I want to thank to Mr. Poza! I will develop my skill of computer!

Viral Video

The meaning of viral is just virus. Having said that, Viral Video is video which contain some funny things or excessive image, and people are easily affected it. Because of strong image, it can be widespread that it seems as if virus. Therefore, these video are named Viral Video. Additionally, I think there is ethical problem. On Viral Video, people can show their appeal in any way, so sometimes we can face too sexual or vile one. Thus, I hope these discipline would change. Further, I wish Viral Video become worldwide entertainment, which can be seen from children to elderly people. It is because I really like Viral Video’s humor. Focusing on humor point, Viral Video is entertainment, but watching ethical way, I can’t recommend it readily.

Computer gifts I would buy for friends & family

Now, I’m satisfying with computer accessories, for example, I enjoy my new computer, which is not Vista nor Mac, I enjoy my iTunes and iPod to listen mosaics, I enjoy my digital camera to keep my memories, and I enjoy USB flash memory to carry my memory of my study. How about for my friends and my mother, what gifts do I suggest for them?

For my mother, I would buy digital camera to preserve her memory easily. Actually, my digital camera was given by my mother, and her computer is my last one. Therefore, I think it is time to buy her digital camera to conserve her memory.

For my friends, I would buy USB flash memory for their study. To tell the truth, the cost of USB flash memory is cheap. I bought my one using yodobashi points and just 2,000 yen, so it is good for a gift for my friends. Today’s students require to type reports not only to US students but also to Japanese students; therefore, I think it could be a good gift for my student friends.

In conclusion, I enjoy this topic because I could imagine gifts for my important people. I will execute my plan!

What Is "Net Neutrality"?

Today’s topic is Net Neutrality, in other words, Network Neutrality. Neutrality is essential regulation on network. Please think about a situation that if on the Internet, a news article, one side said only good point of an event and the other side said only bad point of the event. Do you think is it ok? Of course, not because both article do not mention a fact. We can say that using the other story; if there is a company of Internet, and that company has a two line of Internet. However, one side moves fast and the other side moves slowly; it is not neutrality. Therefore, to avoid these things there is Net Neutrality. I think it is very crucial for the Internet and important factor for every user.

Recent computer News

Today, computer becomes human being’s main tool. Moreover, it changes and changes that shape and function. Having said that, recently, Microsoft released newest version computer, Windows Vista. To tell the truth, I bought my brand-new computer in this New Year with thinking about that if I buy my new computer before Vista release, I can get that cheaper, so time is now! Thus, I bought Windows 2003 computer. Then, what is new function and what is difference between former Windows and Vista? From my research, first, I know that Vista has better protection for number of virus than former one. Second, Vista has better computer function, for example, interesting slide monitor like Mac, Microsoft Office 2007, and faster speed. Now, I regret little bit why I did not wait and buy Windows Vista, but it also has some negative points, such as, high cost or large capacity. In conclusion, I anticipate that in the future, there might be more attractive version computer, and I would buy it for my child.

Introduce 3 good web sites

Through my life of NIC, I faced to manipulate English web sites. To tell the truth, before entering to NIC, I hardly did net surfing even if it was Japanese. Therefore, firstly, I did not have much knowledge about English web sites; however, now I can recommend three good web sites. These are helpful for my hard study life.

First of all, amazon.com is my most favorite web site. Since early childhood, my hobby was reading. Consequentially, now I like reading of English one. Although, I like to read English book, it is difficult to buy English book in Japan. When I go to Kinokuniya, which is one of the Japanese largest bookstores, I always have to order English books because in the bookstore, there is almost no stock of English books except popular one. On the other hand, in amazon.com I can buy any kinds of English books. Moreover, postage is free when I buy a book more than 1,500 yen.

Second of all, Japan times are one of the helpful web site. Since I became a NIC student, it became custom to read English article. Additionally, when I use Japan times, I can read any English article free, and it is compact rather than newspaper.

Finally, Wikipedia is most useful English site. It is an free encyclopedia, which I can use online. For my daily study life, there is a lot of task, which I need a brief definition, however, I use Wikipedia, so I can easily find my object.

In conclusion, good web sites are essential especially for students to study. Thus, I am using these web sites and developing my skill.

What Is "Social Engineering"?

“Social Engineering” is one of the ways of stealing. Nowadays, people have a lot of opportunity to use passwords and personal identification numbers of a credit card. However, there are full of chance to connect to a beginning of crimes.

A common way of social engineering is using a computer. For instance, when people buy something on the Internet, they might type their personal identification numbers of a credit card. Once they do so it can be opportunity for an offender of social engineering. An offender can read their number illegally and use money as they want.

In my experience, recently, I frequently use a computer and a credit to buy books, apply TOEFL, and to be a member of an encyclopedia. I feel anxiety for social engineering, but I trust my security system of my computer. Therefore, I will continue to use my personal identification number of a credit card same as now.

What do I know about the Mac (Apple computers)?

To tell the truth, I scarcely had knowledge about the Mac; for example, design was cute, a mark was a bitten apple, and Mr. Poza’s favorite computer!

However, from last class, I have much more knowledge about the Mac because we contrasted the Mac and Windows.

Surprisingly, the Mac has no viruses! That is because only 3 to 5 % of people use it.

Furthermore, Apple’s customer support is the most sophisticated in the all of the companies. In addition to that, the Mac is a world wide computer; it means even if I move from Japan to the U.S. my guarantee continue and changing language is easy.

Now, I have a PC of FUJITSU, but when I bought it, I had to abandon a guarantee of my computer because I was moving in the U.S. and FUJITSU could not warrant world wide.

Therefore, the Mac is so attractive for me!!

What Do I Want To Learn About Computers?

Computers develop humankind’s ability; therefore, people of today require much computer skill, and it is crucial in our society of late. Thus, we who live in present day and the future need many kinds of technique about a computer. Besides, I am planning to live in the U.S. and to study in an American university, so I want to learn about computers as much as I can.

Firstly, fundamental computer skills are requirements; however, I can manipulate just Microsoft Word, Internet, and other commonsense. Consequently, I want to have the other proficiency, for instance, technical languages about a computer, skill of using Microsoft Power Point, and skype. These are essential for surviving my abroad life.

Secondly, I really concerned about security of my computer because recently, the number of computer virus and computer crime is increasing. Furthermore, I bought my brand-new computer this winter, and I hope to use it safety and for a long time. Therefore, I want to acquire knowledge about security of computers and to keep away from menace of virus and crime.

Finally, I have been influenced by Mr. Poza who is my professor about his Apple computer!! His computer is extremely attractive, so I desire to learn about Mac. Then in the future, I will obtain my Mac. o(^o^)o♬

In conclusion, I am thoroughly looking forward to learning computers with Mr. Poza!!
